Puget Sound Moods
Susan Holland has been taking her gouache paintbox all over the Puget Sound area seeking to capture the wateriness and the glowing colors against the moody Northwest backdrop of mountains, clouds and evergreens.
Plein air painting has its plusses and minuses. A delightful aspect is the occasional interaction with a curious public. The less fun parts are cold hands and feet, numbness setting in after a couple of hours of work, and the inevitable changes of light.
Ten percent of proceeds from this show will be donated by the artist to benefit the homeless people of the Seattle area.
